Following on from the discovery of two cannabis grows on Sybil Road on the Rowley Fields last week, I wanted to share some information with you…………

🚨 Spot the Signs of a Cannabis Grow in Your Community 🚨

We’re asking residents to help keep our communities safe by staying alert to the signs of potential cannabis cultivation.

Cannabis grows can be linked to serious organised crime, unsafe living conditions, fire hazards, exploitation, and modern slavery. Your information can make a real difference.

Here are some common signs to look out for:

🌡 Unusual Heat
– Windows constantly open in cold weather
– Snow melting quickly on just one part of a roof
– Warm, humid air drifting from vents

🔌 Odd Electrical Activity
– Covered or blacked‑out windows
– Loud humming or buzzing from fans or ventilation
– Cables or wiring that looks tampered with

👀 Unusual Behaviour
– Frequent visitors at strange hours, often not staying long
– Occupants rarely seen
– Strong, sweet, herbal smells coming from a property

🏠 Property Changes
– Windows permanently covered with blinds, sheets, or foil
– Bright lights on through the night
– Excessive condensation on windows
– Large amounts of fertiliser, soil, or plant pots being brought in
