Dear Resident
Here’s what’s been happening around the NL64 beat area over the past week: 🔒 Property Closures in ShepshedGoldcrest Road – Partial Closure Order A Partial Closure Order is used when a property is linked to ongoing crime, disorder, or anti‑social behaviour. It restricts access so that only the legal tenants and those who normally live at the address can enter. Anyone else is prohibited from doing so. Breaching a Partial Closure Order is a criminal offence, and this measure helps reduce community impact while still allowing the tenant to remain in the home. Lacey Court – Full Closure Application A Full Closure Order is the most restrictive type of closure. It prohibits anyone—including the tenant—from entering the property for a set period (usually up to 3 months). This is used when a property is causing significant and persistent issues affecting the wider community. Once in place, the premises are fully closed, and any entry is a criminal offence. We will update you following the next court hearing. 🚗 Road Safety – Tickow LaneOver recent weeks, the beat team has been conducting speed checks on Tickow Lane, Shepshed. During the past week, Leicestershire County Council reinstalled existing and added additional speed humps along the road. These should help further reduce speeding concerns in the area. 🛒 Shop Theft Arrests – Tesco & Co‑OpYou may be aware of the recent series of thefts at Tesco (Charnwood Road) and the Co‑Op (Anson Road) in Shepshed. We are currently awaiting the outcome of his appearance.
You may notice that all of our updates relate to policing activity conducted in Shepshed this week, This doesn't mean that we have ignored other areas of the beat, and the team are actively collating information for further warrant applications.
Please do keep reporting incidents and sharing information with us
Kind regards
NL64 Shepshed Loughborough West Beat Team
