Safer Streets Police Operation over the past 2 days to target Anti Social Behaviour and crime across Maidenhead town centre.

This weekend Maidenhead Neighbourhood Police Team carried out a targeted Operation with extra police patrols in the area, this including mostly foot patrols around the town, Kidwells Park, Grenfell Park and surrounding areas. 

The aim of these Operations is to deter criminal activity from taking place, arrest those that involved and to deal with any ASB taking place. 

Results from the Operation over the two evenings saw 2 wanted shop lifters located and arrested by the team, both have been bailed pending further enquiries. 

One male was stop searched and found to be in possession of class B drugs and will dealt with accordingly slow time.

The team also engaged and patrolled local stores, cinema, library, Hot Spot locations and are pleased to report there were no issues to report.  

Late night patrols of the parks were also carried out, no issues to report which was good to see.

We are also not seeing hardly any E - scooters or illegal E - bikes being used,  these remain illegal to use on public roads in Maidenhead and will be seized in the right circumstances. 

These types of police Operations have been taking place on a regular basis and have seen good results every time.
