An update from your new Neighbourhood Policing Inspector |
||
|
I am writing to introduce myself as the new Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Spennymoor and Ferryhill.
Having recently joined the team, I have spent my first week reviewing the issues that matter most to our residents. My priority is to ensure that my officers and PCSOs are visible, accessible, and focusing their efforts on the crimes that cause the most harm to our community. Unfortunately, yesterday there was extensive damage caused to your local police building on Church Lane, Ferryhill. This damage will result in the building being unsafe to work from for an as yet unknown period of time. Please be assured that we are identifying alternative working locations to ensure that your local neighbourhood policing team remain based in the area and accessible to the community.
Over the coming months, our team will be specifically targeting: Priority 3 - Anti-Social Behaviour, including the use of offroad bikes in an antisocial manner.
While I oversee the strategic direction of the area, your local officers remain your primary point of contact for day-to-day concerns. You can find out who your dedicated ward officer is by visiting our website and inputting your post code: Your area | Durham Constabulary
I am committed to ensuring Spennymoor, Ferryhill, and the neighbouring villages remain a safe place to live and work, and I look forward to working alongside our local partners and residents to achieve this.
Best regards,
Inspector 2684 Paul Mawson Durham Constabulary | ||
