General Update |

Good Afternoon Residents, I wanted to share a few updates regarding recent work taking place in your local area.
Together with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, I have recently issued a Community Protection Warning to a resident in High Brooms due to ongoing anti‑social and intimidating behaviour towards their neighbours.
I remain determined to tackle anti‑social behaviour as robustly as possible, as it can have a significant impact on those affected.
In other news, on Tuesday 10th February at around 19:00, a young male entered Tesco Express in Southborough and left several highly offensive handwritten notes on the shelves. The content of these notes caused distress to staff members. If you have any information about this individual, please contact Kent Police quoting reference 46/23566/26.
I am also pleased to report that a prolific shoplifter who had repeatedly targeted Costcutter in Southborough has now been identified. They have now been interviewed by Kent Police, and banned from the store. The final outcome is still pending.
On a more positive note, on Saturday 14th February, I attended the Southborough Civic Centre to meet members of the local Hong Kong community at their “Lunar New Year Market” event. It was a fantastic occasion featuring hot food, art, crafts, and a range of market stalls. I had the opportunity to speak with many attendees about local concerns.
This event is open to everyone, and I encourage you to attend next year if you are able.
I also have two upcoming community engagement surgeries: I look forward to meeting many of you soon
