I wanted to provide you an update regarding Violent crime, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Hello All,
I now have an update for you all in regards to the serious incident at Oliver Bonas on Saturday. Apologies for delay I was waiting for the court decision yesterday to give a full update. The male arrested at scene has been charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery, false imprisonment and threatening a person with a point/blade in a public place and was remanded in custody.
The male has then appeared before court yesterday and has been remanded in prison until his accelerated trial which will be heard in March. Any questions or concerns please contact us. if anyone witnessed the event please come forward to police and if you have been affected by this we can offer support for victims and witnesses.
I would like to personally thank and praise the security guard at Oliver Bonas who put himself in harms way to protect a child and their mother, his bravery in this incident can not be overstated.
We will be continuing to do reassurance patrols on top of our normal patrols. Hope you all have a good Tuesday!
