Northamptonshire OPFCC is seeking two new members to join our Joint Independent Audit Committee (JIAC) — a vital team providing independent assurance and oversight of governance, risk management, financial reporting and internal controls across the Office of the PFCC, Northamptonshire Police, and Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to:
✔ Provide independent advice that helps keep Northamptonshire safe
✔ Scrutinise risk management, internal audit, financial processes and corporate governance across our policing and fire services
✔ Support transparency, accountability and best practice in public service
What we’re looking for:
🔹 A strong connection to Northamptonshire
🔹 Awareness of public sector governance
🔹 Knowledge of audit, risk, finance or corporate governance best practice
🔹 We particularly welcome applicants with experience in project management, estates, or information technology
What you’ll receive:

💷 Annual allowance of £3,000 plus expenses
🔐 Role subject to police vetting
