scam awareness Parking Payment

We are writing to advise the community to be vigilant if approached by an unknown person, offering to give you advice in relation to new parking procedures. Whether this be on Main Road with the Ringo parking, or within stores car parks.

Please do not accept help from someone you do not know

Do not accept an offer to hand over your mobile if they suggest that they can set up payment on your mobile phone

Do not provide them with any of your details, such as your driving licence.

It is suspected that this could be a scam. 

Please advise your friends, family and neighbours. We do not want to cause alarm, however, we want as many people to be aware that not everyone has good intentions, and may target who they consider to be vulnerable.
