Appeal for Information – Theft of a Cat

Police are appealing for information following the reported theft of a Maine Coon cat from the local area. The cat is described as a silver tabby, weighing approximately 7.4kg, and is microchipped.

The incident is believed to have occurred on 17/02/2026 at around 10:50am.

It has been reported that two females were seen walking from Elm Park onto Nelson Road carrying a cat matching this description. Officers believe these individuals may have vital information that could assist the investigation.

The owner has been left extremely distressed, and police are keen to locate the cat as soon as possible.
