Positive ActionBILINGUAL MESSAGE / NEGES DWYIEITHOG Hello Resident
Over the past 24 hours there have been numerous reports in the Grangetown/Butetown area of vehicles being broken into and searches made of their gloveboxes.
Officers from Cardiff Bay Neighbourhood Policing Team yesterday completed CCTV enquires in the local area and have identified a possible suspect for these incidents. Enquires are continuing and once we have a further update we will provide this via another message.
In the mean time please remember to remove any valuables from your vehicle and make sure that it is locked when not in use. If you witness anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle and believe that that are attempting to break into it, please call 999 and provide a detailed description of the subject to our control room.
Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response? You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
