Another CBO obtained for a regular shoplifter

On THURSDAY 23RD OCTOBER 2025 at approximately 1640, Holland & Barrett, Ealing. Two men had placed 8 containers of whey protein to the value of £328 into plastic bags and left the store. The security guards detained them outside the shop.

Police attended where they arrested both for shoplifting. Officers conducted a S32 PACE search on both, and found 9 bank cards, oyster cards and ID cards under other people's names, on GURPREET's person. During this time, the store manager was informing officers of eight previous incidents of shoplifting totalling £789 of losses between 08/10/2025 and 22/10/2025 by GURPREET. They therefore further arrested him for handling stolen goods and shoplifting.

Second SUSPECT - Muhammad CHAUDHRY 26/09/2000

On 23/2/26 Gurpreet pleaded guilty to offence of shoplifting and Handling stolen Goods.

He received £300 fine and 4 months imprisonment concurrent.

CBO was applied for by VCT and after several court attendances being rescheduled, perseverance paid off and CBO shown below was agreed for 5 years 23/2/26 until 23/2/31

1. must not associate in a public place with the following:

• Satnam SINGH 21/09/1981(CBO in place non associate)

• Mandip SINGH 10/6/1987

2. must not enter any retail or commercial premises in England and Wales from which they have

been formally banned.

3. must not remain in any retail or commercial premises in England and Wales having been

asked to leave by a member of staff or security guard.

4. must not enter the private areas of any retail or commercial premises in England and Wales

without the permission of a member of staff or security guard.

5. must not be in possession of any cards, wallet or property that is clearly in the name of

another person in any public place in England and Wales, without valid proof of purchase or

ownership.

6. must not be in possession of any tools, equipment, or bags, adapted or intended for use in

the theft of goods (e.g. foil-lined bags, cutters, or tag removers)
