The Most Marvellous Community Health Support Map For Derbyshire

Navigating local mental heath and wellbeing provision can be challenging for anyone and even more so when in crisis. The Community Mental Health Support Map Derbyshire has been developed to support clearer, quicker navigation of mental and health wellbeing services across the County.

🗣️ What is the map?

The map is a free, interactive, county-wide directory of mental health and wellbeing support, presented in a visual, layered format. Built using Google My Maps, it allows users to:
•    view support geographically
•    filter by type of provision
•    access brief descriptions and contact details
•    explore community-based, peer-led, and statutory support options

The map is embedded within the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Team output the county’s central gateway for mental health and suicide awareness information.

Value for primary care

The map is designed to complement, not replace, clinical pathways. It supports primary care by:
•    reducing time spent locating non-clinical and community support
•    supporting social prescribing conversations
•    helping patients self-navigate appropriate support
•    improving visibility of peer-led and voluntary sector provision

It is particularly useful where needs sit within mild to moderate mental health support, wellbeing, social connection, prevention and recovery-focused activity.
