I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. On 19th February The Isles of Scilly policing team have seized a vehicle for having no insurance. It was also untaxed and in an unsafe condition having at least 4 major faults. The owner will be prosecuted for this and the vehicle will be crushed. We will actively continue to monitor vehicles on the islands and deal with any found to be uninsured or unsafe in a similar fashion.
