Request for Information to help plan policing around Brockwell Park during major events |
||
|
To: Local Residents affected by Events in Brockwell Park From Philip Virgo as Chair of West Dulwich Safer Neighbourhood Panel cc Susan Hirt, Secretary of West Dulwich Safer Neighbourhood Panel wdsnpsecretary@gmail.com
We have been contacted by the Police Sergeant responsible for coordinating the policing of this year's events in Brockwell Park. He is keen to collate concerns in advance so he can put officers in the right areas to reduce the risks of types of behaviour that have adversely impacted the lives of local residents in the past..
The key areas of feedback provided last year were about : For the information to be useful we need to identify specific locations and the peak times/days that we have noticed issues previously.
Please provide e-mail Susan at wdsnpsecretary@gmail.com with any areas of concern by Thursday 5th March so that she can collate information to share with the Police Sergeant for use in their planning.
This e-mail is marked as suitable for sharing so please feel free to consult neighbours by sharing via your street/estate Whatsapp or Facebook Group.
P.S. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to update the areas of interest you have ticked in your entry on the database shared by Neighbourhood Watch and Met Engage. Many who expressed interest in Speed Watch at the SNP meeting have not ticked this on their record so will not be contacted if the local police team use this to identify volunteers when they have the opportunity to organise an event. It is also much easier for the team to know whether to ask you when looking for footage of parcel thieves or other local predators if you have ticked the CCTV box. | ||
