We’re aware of an increase in reports of anti‑social behaviour involving groups of youths in and around Filey. This includes nuisance behaviour, minor damage, and disturbances in public areas. We’re actively working in the community to address these issues and keep Filey a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

If you witness anti‑social behaviour, or if something doesn’t feel right, please report it. Your information helps us build a clear picture of what’s happening and allows us to respond effectively.

Keeping Yourself Safe

Stick to well‑lit, busy areas where possible.

If something or someone makes you feel uneasy, move away and contact police if needed.

Keep your phone charged and accessible.

Let someone know where you are if you’re heading out alone.

Protecting Your Property

Ensure doors, windows, garages, and sheds are locked, even when you’re home.

Consider motion‑activated lighting or CCTV where possible.

Keep valuables out of sight from windows.

Secure bikes, tools, and outdoor equipment with quality locks.

Report suspicious behaviour around homes or vehicles via 101.
