More than 24 arrests, 17 stolen vehicles recovered and over 100 proactive interventions in one week, as teams continue targeted activity against burglary across Surrey. Local Safer Neighbourhood Team officers, proactive teams and specialist resources worked together across the county, combining visible patrols with intelligence-led enforcement. Officers delivered 68 community engagement events in one week, speaking directly with residents and business owners to provide reassurance and practical crime prevention advice. Alongside this engagement work, targeted operations focused on known routes used by offenders travelling across force borders. Working with colleagues from Sussex Police and the Metropolitan Police Service, officers recovered vehicles stolen in burglaries and identified further vehicles linked to criminality. Detective Chief Inspector Josephine Horner, Crime for East Surrey, said: “Burglary is an intrusive crime that has a lasting impact on victims and communities. This work does not stop here. Tackling burglary across our county remains a priority and we will continue to pursue offenders and protect our communities every day.” Officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols, proactive operations and community engagement across Surrey as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our communities safe. | ||
