The Beacon Public House |
||
|
The Woodside and Madeley Safer Neighbourhood Team have attended a number of reports of persons climbing on derelict buildings in your area.
On Saturday 28th February PCSO Tom Uttley and PCSO Josh Wall attended the Beacon Public House on Ironbridge Road after a report was received of a group within the grounds.
After a short foot chase two of the children were identified. They will be receiving Anti Social Behaviour letters from our Prevention Team. This ASB (anti-social behaviour) intervention is designed to inform offenders and there parents/carers of their conduct and give them the opportunity to change their behaviour.
Children that climb on abandoned buildings are at risk of harm or serious injury from unstable structures and hazardous material like mould, asbestos and lead paint. There is a high risk of injuries from broken glass, fallen debris or uneven surfaces.
We would like to urge parents to educate their children around the danger of entering or climbing on buildings.
If you have any information about this incident, please call 101 quoting incident number 00255_I_28022026. | ||
