Safe Day Community Event - Next Week with the Neighbourhood Policing Team

Hello Resident,

Residents have told us they’re unsure how to report crime and ask what the police are doing locally, why we don’t have more officers and how the system actually works.

To help answer these questions, we’re hosting an important Safe Day Community Event.

We’ll be joined by representatives from:

• Wiltshire Police
• Crimestoppers
• Fearless (youth crime prevention)
• The Bobby Van Trust (home safety and security)

They’ll be covering:

• How crime reporting works and why every report counts
• How to report crime anonymously and safely
• Tips to protect yourself and your home
• Signs young people may be at risk of exploitation
• What the police and partner organisations are doing in our area

There will also be time for community questions. If we run out of time, you’ll be able to submit your question on a form and we’ll make sure it gets to the right organisation for a response.

This is a great opportunity for us all to understand the system better, raise concerns, and learn how we can help keep Mere safe.
