Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Between 3.00pm on Saturday 21 February and 3.45pm on Monday 2 March in Nottingham Road, Hucknall, a ladder was placed against a wall next to a window and the window was prised open and the property entered. Between 6.15pm and 7.00pm on Saturday 28 February in Plumb Road, Hucknall, rear patio doors were smashed to gain entry to a property and an untidy search was made. A set of car keys were stolen. At 6.50pm on Monday 2 March in Shelton Avenue, Hucknall, a side window near patio doors was smashed and the burglar alarm activated. Burglary Other At 11.45pm on Saturday 28 February in Broomhill Road, Hucknall, a male broke into the Broomhill Inn and attacked the fruit machine. He was wearing a tracksuit, mask over his face, white and blue? reflective trainers and had a JD bag on him.. He made off, down an alleyway opposite, towards Lilac Road Theft of motor vehicle Between 9.00pm on Sunday 1 March and 10.00am on Monday 2 March in Laughton Crescent, Hucknall, a red Citroen car was stolen from the roadside. At 1.30pm on Wednesday 4 March at the Hucknall Tram stop. Ashgate Road, Hucknall, three teenagers followed the victim to his grey Volkswagen Polo car when he got off the tram. As he got into his car he heard one say “Jump in“ and another tried the rear passenger door. He swiftly drove away fearing they were trying to steal his car. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft At 10.44pm on Friday 27 February in Corbett Crescent, Hucknall, two males came to an address to purchase a gaming console. They attempted to pay using their phone but the transaction failed. They then made to leave with the console without paying but left when the vendor called the police. They were both white, 21 and 24 years old and drove off in a white BMW. Between Monday 23 and Wednesday 25 February in Annesley Road, Hucknall, a lock box with a door key inside was stolen from outside a flat. At 3.53pm on Tuesday 3 March in Edward Close, Hucknall, an e-scooter was stolen by a white male, 5-0”, 12/13 years old, wearing an all black Nike tracksuit with hood up. He was accompanied by two others and made off towards fields on Nabbs Lane. Robbery Around 2.20pm on Monday 2 March in South Street, Hucknall, the victim was approached outside the Half Moon Public house by a white male wearing black cargo trousers and a green bomber jacket, with tattoos on his neck and hands. He drew a knife and walked the victim to the Church Yard near Hucknall Library where he stole the victims mobile phone. The attacker made off across the market place towards the charity shop on Ogle Street. Violence against person At 1.38pm on Friday 27 February in Farleys Lane, Hucknall, a white male, balding, age 30/40 years, wearing a t-shirt, threatened to push his finger in callers partners eye and switched off her phone. He was a passenger in a white Citroen car which drove off down Farleys Lane and into a housing estate, Criminal Damage At 1.22pm on Thursday 26 February in St. Mary’s Way, Hucknall, a front door was kicked by a male wearing dark clothing. On Friday 27 February, possibly after 10.00pm, in Robey Close, Hucknall, a car was keyed along one side. At 7.30pm on Tuesday 3 March at McDonald’s Restaurant, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, two groups of teenagers, about ten in total, were on the premises vaping and refusing to leave. One of them was banned. A toilet roll dispenser and a coat hook had been damaged. ASB At 5.01pm on Saturday 28 February at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Ogle Street, Hucknall, a group of around 10 teenagers 16/17 years old, were riding a dirt bike around the Church Yard. At 7.48pm on Saturday 28 February at McDonald’s Restaurant, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, ten 14/15 year old youths, all wearing balaclavas, were throwing eggs at the windows and at cars in the car park. At 5.12pm on Sunday 1 March at McDonald’s Restaurant, Ashgate Road, a report of five youths inside and about ten outside, all white, males and females, ages 14/17 years, throwing eggs and juice cartons at the windows. At 5.04pm on Tuesday 3 March in High Street, Hucknall four 14 to 17 year old males wearing balaclavas and black clothing were throwing things at a property and kicking at the door. This happens on most days.
