E-bike ARREST

On Wednesday night, Fylde Rural Task Force were out patrolling St Annes when they spotted a male on an E-bike

Upon sighting the police, the rider made off at speed.

The rider attempted to evade police, ditching the bike down an alleyway and making off on foot

The team were quick on their toes and after a short foot chase the male was detained and arrested.

The male appeared under the influence and blew 48 on a breathalyser (with the legal limit being 35)

The male, aged 15, from St Annes has now been charged with driving whilst over the limit for alcohol, driving without insurance and driving without a licence. The male will appear before Preston Youth Court on the 23th April 2026.

His E-bike has also been seized and will be crushed

This is your reminder that these traffic offences don't just apply to cars, they also apply to those riding E-bikes.

We will continue to target anti-social and dangerous driving of E-bikes in the Fylde area.
