PC Eccles: Advice Following Rise in Vehicle Thefts
I want to raise awareness about the recent rise in thefts of motor vehicles and motorbikes that have been taking place within the Ancoats and Crumpsall areas. We have seen an increase in incidents where vehicles have been targeted by offenders, and I would like to remind residents about some simple preventative measures that can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of theft. Please ensure that no valuables are left on display inside your vehicle. Items left in view can attract unwanted attention and make vehicles a target for opportunistic thieves. It is also important to make sure that your vehicle is always left secure. Double-check that doors and windows are locked and that motorbikes are properly secured when left unattended. Taking these small precautions can significantly reduce the risk of your vehicle being targeted. By working together and remaining vigilant, we can help protect our community and prevent further incidents.
