Drug Recovery on Patrol - South Bermondsey SNT

On 7th March 2026, while on routine patrol, PCSO Evans and A/PS Webster located a key safe in a car park which, when checked, was found to contain multiple bags of Class A and Class B drugs. These substances have now been seized and will be destroyed.

This discovery highlights the serious and proactive approach South Bermondsey Safer Neighbourhood Team takes towards tackling drugs and associated criminality within the ward. Drug dealing has a direct and damaging impact on communities, and we want to make it clear that those involved in this activity will not find it easy to operate in our area.

Our officers continue to patrol all parts of the ward, day and night, to disrupt criminal behaviour, gather intelligence, and ensure the safety of our residents. We remain committed to keeping South Bermondsey a safe place to live and work.
