Police Action Taken to Address linked to ASB |

Beat Officers on high visibility patrol on their local beat observed a 15‑year‑old male and a 19‑year‑old male leaving a nearby address associated to anti-social behaviour on Bloomsbury Way, Kennington. On seeing police, both males made off on foot. Local officers, utilising their local knowledge, quickly detained both individuals nearby. Due to concerns that items had been discarded, a police dog unit was deployed to assist with a search of the area. As a result of this search, officers recovered and seized a number of items, including: Both males were arrested and have since been released on police‑imposed bail while enquiries continue. This incident demonstrates the proactive approach being taken locally to address serious violence, drug‑related activity, and associated anti‑social behaviour, and to remove dangerous weapons from our streets.
