|
Police in Haverhill are appealing for help to trace a man who is wanted in connection with a collision in the town, which has caused a lasting impact on a pedestrian who was injured during the incident.
The collision occurred between 11.15pm and 11.30pm on Monday 12 August 2024 in Ehringhausen Way, near the Esso filling station, and involved a red Nissan Micra and a pedestrian. The Nissan Micra failed to stop following the collision.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 30s – was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment, where it was found he had sustained a broken bone in his neck. He was discharged from hospital three days later to continue his recovery at home.
The injuries have left the man with permanent pain and the incident has caused a significant psychological impact on him which is considered to be life-changing.
Officers are appealing for help from the public to locate a man they would like to speak to in connection with this incident.
Dzhemal Dzhemal, aged 29, had been residing in Haverhill but is understood to have moved elsewhere shortly after the collision. Officers have made numerous enquiries to locate Mr Dzhemal, both within the UK and abroad. It is now thought that he may be living in London.
A photograph of Dzhemal Dzhemal is attached with this appeal and officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they know where he may be, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts.
Anyone with any information regarding this appeal, is asked to contact the Haverhill Response Investigation Team, quoting reference: 37/45772/24.
