Burglary Near You -Allerton Road BD15 7QX

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Allerton Road, on Thursday 12th in the early hours between 0200hrs and 0233hrs the method of attack was by breaking the the lock on the garage lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES STATED, UNKNOWN SUSPECTS HAVE ENTERED GARAGE BY BREAKING THE LOCK AND TAKEN A LARGE AMOUNT OF COPPER FROM THE GARAGE AND TAKEN IT TO A PARKED VEHCILE. SUSPECTS HAVE LEFT ON FOOT AS POLICE ARRIVE. VEHCILE FOUND TO BE STOLEN AND BOTH COPPER AND VEHCILE SEIZED.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 12th March 0200hrs 0300hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
