Thrive 26 International Women's day

Hello Resident,

On Saturday we attended The Stour Centre in Ashford to take part in Thrive 26 for international women's day. Here, we had our own stall in which we offered safety advice, offered a safe space for reporting and discussed any issues in the local area with residents. We also created an interactive art piece in which attendees could write messages of empowerment on petals and stick them onto a lotus flower.

These events are so important to raise awareness about violence against women and girls and offer support, visibility and reassurance in the local community. There will be another even in October 2026 which i will advertise on MCV nearer the time.
