Knock-a-Door-Run: Not Just a Bit of Fun

We’re reminding everyone—especially young people—that knock-a-door-run in our residential areas isn’t harmless fun. What might feel like a quick laugh can have a real impact on others.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen an increase in reports from members of the public. This behaviour can:

🔹 Cause distress, particularly for elderly or vulnerable residents who may feel anxious or unsafe.
🔹 Disrupt households, including families with young children, shift workers, or anyone who relies on rest.
🔹 Lead to avoidable conflict or put people at risk if a confrontation occurs.
🔹 Be classed as anti‑social behaviour, which can result in police involvement if it continues.

We want our neighbourhood to remain a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to enjoy their home without disturbance. Please speak with young people about the consequences of this behaviour and help us keep our community peaceful.
