Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Nothing to report Burglary Other At sometime on Thursday 5 March in Elder Street, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, a shed at the side of a flat was broken into and a window smashed. Nothing was taken. At 3.24am on Friday 6 March in Sutton in Ashfield, the front door to the Golden Cod was forced to gain entry. The draw to the till was left open as two males were recorded on a security camera inside the shop before running away. Between 8.30am on Saturday 7 and 6.25pm on Sunday 8 March at The Chapel, Reform Street, Sutton in Ashfield, an attempt was made to break in. Locks and shackles were cut off but no entry was gained. Theft of motor vehicle Around 7.30pm on Sunday 8 March in Kensington Close, Church Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a grey Skoda Fabia car was stolen. The keys had been left inside. It was recovered later. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft Around noon on Thursday 5 March at Stanton Court, High Street, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, a 12v Hilti impact driver, 12v charger, 22v charger, and a 4amp battery were stolen from a contractor who was installing a door. Robbery At 11.00pm on Friday 6 March in Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield, the victim went out for a walk in a park near a local school and was assaulted by two males he suffered bruising and cuts to the face, possibly caused by a knife or razor blade, and money was stolen from him. One attacker was of mixed race and wore black clothing. The second was a white male wearing a silver hoodie, black jacket and tracksuit bottoms. Criminal Damage Overnight Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 March in Davies Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, the front and back tyres of a silver Toyota car were slashed and paintwork on the boot was scratched. ASB At 3.24pm on Thursday 5 March in Forest Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of people returning with suitcases and pillows, squatting in an alcove below a flat. At 9.07pm on Saturday 7 March on Sutton Lawns, Lawn Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of males, dressed in black and wearing balaclavas, riding motorbikes near the skate park. At 6.27am on Sunday 8 March at J D Weatherspoons The Picture House in Fox Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a male wearing a black Nike coat, dark green trousers, balaclava and white trainers along with a female, both white, 30/40 years old, rough sleeping in the back entrance. When asked to leave they made threats towards the staff. At 3.45pm on Sunday 8 March in Lime Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a motorbike being ridden at speed up and down a pathway at the back of the property for the past hour. The rider was wearing a helmet and due to his size was thought to be a young person. At 6.14pm on Sunday 8 March in Institute Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of white youths opening a front door to a property before running off towards High Street. Three wearing black jackets and a forth one in a dark grey hoodie.
