Crimes reported over the past seven days. This week has seen a large number of thefts from motor vehicles, some being left unlocked. Please lock your cars and remove any valuable items when you park up overnight.
At 10.34pm on Saturday7 March in Emperors Way. Hucknall, the front window of a new build property was smashed to gain entry and tools stored inside were stolen. Burglary Other At 8.13pm on Thursday 5 March at the Hucknall Tyre Station, Watnall Road, Hucknall, a report of three youths on the roof trying to break in. Wearing dark hoodies, one with a back pack. Lots of banging. Between 3.30pm on Thursday 5 and 8.30am on Friday 6 March at the Allotments on Blenheim Lane, Bulwell, several sheds were broken into. At 3.48pm on Sunday 8 March in Portland Road, Hucknall, a window was broken to gain access to the old Hucknall Constitutional Club. Copper piping was ripped out, causing flooding, and stolen along with other items not specified. At 10.46pm on Tuesday 10 March in Wigwam Lane, Hucknall, a report of three lads breaking into plot 3 owned by Central Waste. Theft of motor vehicle Around 7.40pm on Sunday 8 March in Griffiths Way, Hucknall, a white male wearing black clothing and a black balaclava was seen trying the doors and boot of a parked car. Police were called and an arrest was made. Theft from motor vehicle At sometime on Saturday 7 March in Betts Avenue, Hucknall, a wallet was stolen from a car and a bank inside card was used locally. The owner was not sure if the car was locked. At 3.00pm on Saturday 7 March in Beardall Street, Hucknall, a set of golf clubs and a fishing rod in a camouflage bag were stolen from a silver Vauxhall Minerva. Between 6.30pm on Saturday 7 and 9.45am on Sunday 8 March in Carlingford Road, Hucknall, a Volkswagen Polo car, possibly left unlocked, was entered and an untidy search made. The cars log book was found nearby. Between 10.00pm on Saturday7 and 1.00pm on Sunday 8 March in Beardall Street, Hucknall a blue Ford Focus car was entered and the glove compartment rummaged through. Nothing was stolen. Around 6.00am on Sunday 8 March in Darlison Court, Brook Street, Hucknall, a car was rifled through and cigarettes, a lighter and tools were stolen. The car was unlocked as it’s battery was being charged. Around 1.30am on Monday 9 March in Minstrel Close, Hucknall, a white Ford Transit van was broken into and a bag of tools including a jigsaw and batteries was stolen. The doors of other vehicles on the close were also tried. Between 4.00pm on Tuesday 10 and 7.00am on Wednesday 11 March on the Imex Enterprise Park, Wigwam Lane, Hucknall, the rear number plate was ripped off and stolen from a silver Peugeot Partner works van. Theft Nothing to Report Robbery Nothing to Report Criminal Damage Nothing to Report ASB At 10.47am on Sunday 8 March on Harrier Park, Dorey Way, Hucknall, a report of 10/12 lads on off road bikes tearing up the grass verges near to the old Rolls Royce works. At 7.10pm on Tuesday 10 March in Christchurch Road, Hucknall, a front door was kicked by three male teenagers dressed in black. At 7.31pm on Tuesday 10 March in West Street, Hucknall, a report of youngsters on the roof of the old Seven Stars Public House throwing bricks/tiles down to the ground in front of the building.
