Resident
We are writing to update you on Operation Scarletfox, our ongoing work to tackle violence and organised crime in Tipton and help make our community safer. Since the launch of the operation at the start of February, our officers have been taking action to address concerns about violence and criminal activity in the area. So far, we have made 26 arrests for offences including drug supply, possession of weapons, going equipped and driving offences. We have also seized 12 vehicles, carried out more than 90 stop and searches, and recovered a firearm. Chief Inspector Michelle Allen from Sandwell Police said: “We are determined to make the streets of Tipton safer and the launch of Operation Scarletfox is our response to tackle serious crime in the area. We are increasing patrols around hotspot areas for crime and bringing in additional resources to target offenders. However, we need your support. “If you have any information about violence or organised crime in your area, we urge you to tell us. Your information helps us take action and keep your community safe. If you have information or concerns about gang activity, drugs or violent crime, please contact us: Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep Tipton a safe place to live, | ||
