COUPLE CHARGED WITH DRUGS OFFENCES

Two people are due to appear in court charged with drug offences in Tamworth.

Liam Obeirne, 31, and Kate Windridge, 24, both of Tamworth, have each been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Obeirne has also been charged with possession of cannabis, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

It comes as officers carried out a stop-and-search and property search in the Stoneydelph area on Monday (16 March).

They are due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre later today (Wednesday 18 March).
