🚗 Keep Children Safe – Use the Right Car Seats 👶 |
||
|
We’ve recently seen a number of young children being transported in vehicles without appropriate car seats, or in some cases not restrained at all. This is extremely dangerous and puts children at serious risk of injury in the event of a collision — even at low speeds. Using the correct child seat is a legal requirement and one of the simplest ways to protect young passengers. A properly fitted car seat can reduce the risk of serious injury by up to 80%.
Please remember:
✔️ Children must use a suitable child car seat until they are 135cm tall or 12 years old (whichever comes first). ✔️ The seat must be correct for the child’s height and weight. ✔️ Seatbelts alone are not enough for younger children. ✔️ Drivers are legally responsible for ensuring children are properly restrained.
Our priority is keeping everyone in our community safe. If you’re unsure which type of seat you need, many retailers and road safety organisations offer free fitting demonstrations and advice.
Let’s work together to keep our young passengers safe on the road. ❤️
Stay safe,
