Crime Prevention |

Good afternoon Fylde residents Weโve had a recent rise in burglaries in the area, and our officers are working hard to tackle this issue and prevent any further burglaries. Whilst our investigations are ongoing, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind residents of the following pieces of crime prevention advice: ๐กLight up and lock up: When you go out, leave a light on and remember to check your windows and doors are locked, including side gates and fences. Lights can be put on timers. Consider other forms of lighting including security lighting for outside. ๐ผLeave open your curtains and blinds, this makes it less obvious that a property has been left unattended and also means your neighbours can see if anyone is acting suspiciously inside. ๐จActivate your house alarm (if you have one) and make sure CCTV / video doorbells are working, recording and storing footage. You can register your CCTV cameras on our NICE2SHARE system here : NICE2Share | Lancashire Constabulary ๐ If youโre heading off on holiday in the next 4 weeks, let us know your dates and the address that will be empty by using the following email only โ please do not share this information on social media, public forums or by replying to this message on In The Know as it may be missed and leave your property vulnerable. Only share this information safely by emailing: This helps us plan patrols, keep an eye on vulnerable spots, and generally make life difficult for anyone up to no good! Thanks for being such an engaged and supportive community, together, we can keep Fylde safe and sound. Stay safe,
