Weekly update |

Good Morning
I hope you are all well.
Crime stats This is the most requested information people ask, for so I am just going to let you all understand the situation. The Met Police decided, before I started and in Amanda’s time, that any council would no longer get this information, this is across all London boroughs. I’d love to give it to you, but I can’t and I’m too small a cog in Merton Council to even be able to try and change the Met Polices decision. All I can offer you is the Met engage site or the Merton Council open-source website. Link at the end. I can’t control how many emails Met Engage send I’m afraid. I apologise to all of you who are upset that you can’t get this information but that is that. In the meantime, I try and send useful weekly updates regarding events happening in Merton and helpful news stories. If people do not like these emails again, I apologise but as Neighbourhood Watch is all about community and being good neighbours, I have been trying to send links and information to aid this. If you have got constructive feedback, then I am always happy to take this on board as long as it is constructive. If you don’t want weekly updates, I can make them fortnightly or even monthly, you are the members so you can decide. Please see the link for open-source crime information. Neighbourhood Watch AGM Our AGM is happening on the 12th May at the Civic Centre at 19:00. I will be sending out an invite soon but stick it in your diary. It will be a place to see our plans for Merton Neighbourhood Watch but more importantly have your say and discuss everything you want with the committee. There will also be a couple of talks including from our Neighbourhood Wardens
Coordinator Meeting We have also arranged a coordinator meeting. This is just an opportunity for me and Hugh to get to know the coordinators, have a chat about moving Merton Neighbourhood Watch forward and what you want us to aim for. The reason it is coordinators early is because it is an informal chat before the AGM. The AGM is the big one for all the members. All information from the coordinator meeting can be passed on to members. There has been a lot of changes with Merton Neighbourhood Watch so a meeting with coordinators will be a great opportunity. If you are a coordinator and haven’t received information about this, please email me.
Whatever you’re up to, have a great weekend and enjoy the nice weather.
