Hello Resident,

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the team.

❓ What's been happening ❓

Traffic Operations. Officers have conducted two traffic operations this week in Hall Green and Sparkhill. The first took place on Stratford Road near to the Robin Hood Island where tickets were given for speeding (6), illegal tints (4) and seat belt offences (1). A vehicle failed to stop which was later located and seized. The second took place on Stratford Road Sparkhill where vehicles were taken into the Aldi Car Park. This resulted in 3 arrests, 8 vehicle seizures and tickets for various driving offences (36 in total). We removed illegal tints from 19 vehicles. Thanks to all those who provided positive feedback to officers and please be assured we will be holding more of these in the future.

Chaand Raat & Eid. Officers have taken part in operations on the Ladypool Road this week to support celebrations for Eid and Chaand Raat. To all those celebrating, we wish you a Happy Eid Mubarak.

Drop-in Surgery. PCSO Gray held a drop-in surgery at the Shires this week where the focus was online scam prevention. PCSO Evans also held his regular surgery at St. Johns Church. As always, thank you for attending.

✅ Crime Prevention Tips for the darker nights

❗Vehicle crime is a continued priority across both wards❗

Most crime is opportunistic, and offenders are looking for the quickest, easiest target. Please take a few seconds to double checks your security routines.

Ensure your vehicle is locked with no valuables left on display – even a jacket or loose change can tempt a thief. Utilise extra security measures such as steering wheel locks.
