Over Hulton & Middle Hulton – Police Update 🚓👋 |
On Monday 16th March, PC Morris was out on mobile patrol when he spotted a male wanted for two thefts from the Co‑op on Wigan Road. The male decided he didn’t want to stick around for a chat and made off 🏃♂️💨. After a short foot chase, he was detained and arrested. He was later charged with two shoplifting offences and remanded to court. 👍 On Friday 20th March, PC Morris and PC Chadwick were on the hunt for a vehicle that had previously made off from them the week before. While patrolling Wigan Road, they spotted it again. The vehicle made off once more 🚗💨 and initially got away, but the officers didn’t give up. Shortly afterwards, it was found abandoned on Sundridge Close. Checks showed it was on false plates and was an outstanding stolen. After further enquiries, a male was arrested for theft, handling stolen goods, driving with no insurance, and driving with no licence. He has since been bailed. 🔎🚔 On Saturday 21st March, PC Morris spotted a vehicle driving on Wigan Road near the M61 with a tyre completely off the rim 🚙❗. The driver made off across a grass verge but the vehicle was quickly located again on Doyle Road. A police dog was deployed 🐕🦺, but could not locate the suspect. Checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen earlier that day. It has now been recovered, and enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver. 🔧📁 Your neighbourhood officers will continue patrolling the area, responding to the incidents you report, and working hard to keep Over Hulton and Middle Hulton safe. 💙🚓
Thank you for your continued support! 🙏
