Criminal Behaviour Ordered for local offender |
||
|
Dear Resident,
Your local policing team, with work led by PC Badulescu, applied successfully for a Criminal Behaviour Order this week for a prolific shoplifting offender.
Mr Samuel Alsop was issued the order when being sentenced in court for numerous shoplifting offences across Westminster. The CBO now restricts Alsop's movements across the borough for a period of three years and stipulates:
'Alsop MUST NOT enter or be present in the zone outlined on the attached map (served in court), which region lies within the Borough of Westminster with the exception that he can travel through the area outlined on public transport but MUST NOT alight within the area.
The area concerned covers a large part of St James's, Mayfair, Soho and the West End. Any sightings of Alsop being in breach of this order should be reported to the Police. On being arrested prior to appearing in court, Alsop was abusive to police officers following allegations of homophobic hate crime for which he was convicted. PC Badulescu praised the partnership working which led to this successful and prompt CBO application, with statements from Westminster Council and the Safer Business Network all contributing to this positive outcome.
The St James's Neighbourhood Policing Team are working on several other CBOs for repeat and prolific offenders and you will see further successful applications posted onto Met Engage as and when they are issued.
