Successful drugs warrant in Hatfield |
||
|
A drugs warrant in Aviation Avenue, Hatfield, has had successful results. The warrant was carried out as part of the work to tackle drug dealing in nearby Parkhouse Court. This is currently a local neighbourhood policing priority, following resident feedback. The Welwyn Hatfield West Neighbourhood Policing Team raided an address in Aviation Avenue on Wednesday 11 February. Two people were arrested at the property, one was later charged and both have now been moved from the area: Cannabis, cocaine, phones and cash were seized from the property. Sergeant Mitch Cartwright, from the Welwyn Hatfield West NPT, said: “This warrant has resulted in two people being arrested and moved away from the area. We’ve also seized a quantity of drugs which means these can no longer get into the wrong hands. “If you have concerns about drugs in your area please don’t hesitate to report it. The more information we receive, the better our intelligence picture and this allows us execute warrants like this.” You can report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. In an emergency, always call 999. You can also use the Herts Connected platform to let us know what you think we should be prioritising in your area. Your feedback will help towards shaping our local policing priorities, initiatives and campaigns. Visit bit.ly/hertspolice-psf and tell us your thoughts. Please note, an earlier communication incorrectly stated two men had been charged with possession of class A and B drugs. | ||
