Theft of a quad bike.

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

At approximately 02:24hrs on the 19/03/2026 a Green Honda 420 TRX quad bike was stolen from the Stalling Busk area. This is an appeal for surrounding farms and properties to please make secure, all your farm equipment. We cannot stress the importance of making sure that your tools/sheds outbuildings and machinery are locked away securely. If you have any information regarding this theft please contact North Yorkshire Police. The image below is a similar model but not the vehicle stolen.

We encourage all farms to have CCTV, and to have all your tools marked. North Yorkshire Police at Leyburn, Richmond and Catterick have the use of a Dot Peen machine that can mark up your tools, this alone with not stop thefts however it can help trace it back to you if we recover any stolen items.
