Good news An officer and a PCSO attended a meeting with Wolverhampton Homes. This meeting was really helpful to us as we were able understand more what the public want from their neighbourhood policing team. One of our officers arrested a male who was caught red handed shoplifting in Bilston High Street. This male turned out to be a wanted! PCSO’s have been actively patrolling Bilston High Street gaining intel from members of the public. PCSO Jackson has been out on his bicycle patrolling over Bradley and East Park on the hunt for off road bikers. He was even accompanied by the Police Drone on 22nd march. Officers have acted on intel to deal with drug dealing in the Bilston Town Centre. Whilst investigations are still on going, there have been some positive results. Officers safeguarded a vulnerable child who had asked for help after they had been in an altercation with a male and was taken home to a place of safety. One officer made an arrest for assault and attempt of robbery. Officers arrested a male for recall to prison. PCSOs and Officers attended Bentley Bridge on Saturday evening to deal with the ongoing ASB issues. We have high hopes that ASB will stop in this area as from Wednesday 25th March a PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) will be in place. This will allow officers and PCSO’s to disperse gangs of three or more. We will also be able to ask anyone wearing a face covering, to remove them. Bilston and East Park Neighbourhood Team |
