Burglary Near You - Seven Acres, Denholme BD13

Dear Resident

You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred at an address on Seven Acres, Denholme. Sometime between 2.25pm and 3.30pm on 23/03/2026, CCTV captured footage of three suspects approaching the property across the fields. The suspects gained entry to the house by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. After a search of the property the suspects made off with a quantity of jewellery and a games console. They made off across the fields to a waiting vehicle on Long Causeway. One of the suspects has been identified and arrested, enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the others. 

Crime occurrence 13260167163 refers. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (please add times if known) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
