Bike Marking |

|
Good morning everyone.
Hope you’re enjoying the weather slowly getting warmer. The clocks go back this weekend, so we’ll get brighter mornings surely making some of you want to get out on that bike of yours and get some fresh air and exercise. This last year Neighbourhood Watch got funding to mark bikes to help the Police identify a bike that has been stolen. If any of you are wondering why I do keep mentioning the bike marking it is because of its importance to the Neighbourhood Watch community.
That said, it’s the monthly bike marking event. This Friday 27th March I’ll be outside of Colliers wood Tube station from 07:30 till 09:15 making your bikes as safe as I have the ability too. I feel I should let you know why I do it on a Friday at these times. It’s simply down to childcare; Friday is the only day I don’t have the responsibility of getting my kids to school! It’s early in the morning so that I can catch the commuters on the way in to work. I personally feel if it was the evening on a Friday, I’d just rather get home than hang around and wait for someone to take details of my commuting steed. It’s tricky getting the right timing so I apologise if it doesn’t work for you but do please email me if it’s isn’t a helpful time and we could maybe work something out if you’d like a bike or two marked.
Please share this on local social media groups, WhatsApp groups, conversations over garden fences, carrier pigeons, and any other way you can. The more markings I get, the more it looks like I’m doing my job!
Have a lovely week everyone.
