Theft

Police are investigating a theft of a bright green, Scott, mountain bike, from outside Moorside Coffee House, 2 Market Place, Kirkbymoorside. The offence occurred at around 12:30pm on Wednesday 11th March 2026. Two male youths, around 16 years old, wearing dark clothing. Were seen to make off with the bike up Howe End and onto Old Road, passing the recreational ground. They turned left up Swinhead Lane and onto the footpath at the side of the woods. The victim caught up with them and recovered the bike however, the males threw stones at him as he walked away.
