Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team have been busy over the last few days.
We assisted Derby City Centre SNT searching for a male suspected of drug offences who had ran from them. After extensive fence hopping and searching through overgrowth, PCSO Gregson found the suspect hiding inside a black bin! He was helped out by colleagues and found to be in possession of a quantity of Class A and Class B drugs.
Officers also responded to a report from an eagle eyed local resident who had spotted a motorbike which looked out of place on Cambridge Street, Spondon. Checks revealed that it was recently stolen from Leicestershire. The vehicle was recovered and will be forensically tested to try and identify those responsible.
The team have also been attending to calls for service across all areas, including missing person reports whilst working with partner agencies including Derby City Council and the RSPCA.
Drug use and dealing continues to be a priority. The team have carried out several stop searches recovering Class A and Class B drugs.
