Feedback on SNT Priorities from the last Quarter: Patrols around residential areas in Stratford, Shottery and Tiddington to combat burglaries and vehicle crime during the winter evenings – Hi Visibility patrols conducted, reduction in burglaries reported, where offences have been reported officers have been out conducting enquiries, raising awareness and providing crime prevention advice. Crime prevention advice has also been provided via social media platforms. Recently 3 x person/s have been arrested in connection with a burglary and enquiries are ongoing.Patrols around Shottery Fields and the surrounding alleyways in relation to concerns about drug dealing/use – patrols conducted, including plain clothes. No person/s identified acting suspiciously, however further intelligence has been gleaned.Patrols to combat retail theft in Stratford Town Centre and the Maybird Centre – As well as our routine patrols two dedicated operations were organised which included the Safer Neighbourhood Team and officers from other team including the Retail Crime Team. Patrols conducted both by plain clothes and uniformed officers. Officers engaged with retail staff providing crime prevention advice and information bout the Warwickshire Retail Crime Initiative. During one of the operations a person was dealt with for theft at the Maybrid Centre. Officers have also been working closely with the StratfordBid Wardens who have also provided a high visibility presence in both locations helping to detect and prevent crime, this has resulted in a positive reduction in relation to retail theft in the town. |
