Stolen vehicle recovered Oakley Road

Good afternoon, 

My colleague and I responded to reports yesterday evening of a suspicious male who appeared to be looking into vehicles on Oakley Road, Rushden. We completed an area search, but unfortunately could not find anyone. This occurred around 9:40pm (21:40) in the evening, and if anyone has any doorbell CCTV footage or any CCTV of anyone acting suspiciously in the area I would ask you to consider sending that footage over to me. 

Some good did come of this incident however; one of the vehicles targeted by the male transpired to be on cloned registration plates and was discovered to be stolen from Bedfordshire. This has been recovered and will be forensically examined to assist with the ongoing investigation. The vehicle can then be returned to the owners. 

Had the member of the public not reported the suspicious activity to us we would likely not have discovered the vehicle.
