Thursday is Mini Police Day in Abbey !! Today PCSO Ruth Quinby was joined by a wonderful volunteer Tony from the RNLI who spoke to the children about his long career. They learned all about the training, how the lifeboats will always stay upright and lots of interesting and varied facts along the way. They also learned how to keep safe on beaches, to look for a beach with a lifeguard and what the different coloured flags mean. Tony also spoke about the dangers of water closer to home, in canals and inland waterways. The children enjoyed his visit and asked some great questions !!
