Offenders are often opportunistic, and even small precautions can make a big difference. 🔒Protect Your Vehicle Always lock your vehicle, even though you are stepping away for a few momentsDouble check that windows, sunroofs, and boot compartment are fully securedRemove valuables from view - bags, technologic devices (laptops, SatNav, Mobile phones etc), Lose change and tools can all attract attention.🔑 Keyless Entry Vehicles Store key fobs away from doors and windowsUse signal blocking pouch (Faraday pouch) to prevent relay attacksConsider switching off keyless entry overnight if your vehicle allows it🌙 Parking Safely Park in well-lit, busy areas whenever possibleIf you have a driveway, park as close to your property as you canAngle wheels towards the kerb or use a steering wheel lock to deter thieves🎦 Security Measures Install a tracker, dashcam, or aftermarket alarm if your vehicle doesn't already have one.Mark parts with property marking kits to help identify stolen components.Keep your vehicle software updated to reduce security vulnerabilities👀 Look Out for Each Other Report suspicuious behaviour immediately via 999 if a crime is in progressFor non-emergencies, use 101 or online reportingShare information with neighbours - community awareness is one of the strongest deterrents Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team is continuing targeted patrols in the area and working with residents to reduce vehicle crime Thank you for helping us keep Church Street safe.
