Dear Resident 

We just wanted to make you aware of a number of incidents in the areas of Shore Green and Merlyn Road Thornton Cleveleys whereby work vans have been broken into and significant amounts of tools stolen. 

Overnight on 30th and 31st March vehicles have had the side doors prised open and items such as power tools have been stolen. 

We are making enquiries into CCTV, video doorbells etc and from the amount of property stolen it is more than likely that those responsible have a vehicle. 

If you live in the area of Shore Green, the incident took place overnight 29th-30th. Merlyn Road occurred overnight 30th-31st. Please can you check any cameras to see if you have captured any footage of potential suspects. 

If you have a van containing tools, if possible, remove any more expensive items or park your vehicle off street. Alternatively if you have any CCTV try to ensure your vehicle is parked in view of the camera. 

If you witness any suspicious activity or wish to report a non emergency to us you can call 101 or report online via the Lancashire Constabulary website. In an emergency or if you witness a crime in progress please call 999.
