As we approach the Bank Holiday weekend, Dyfed-Powys Police are asking our communities to be vigilant of suspicious behaviour, which may be linked to illegal raves in our rural areas.
These gatherings can cause continue for days at a time, causing disruption for people living nearby, threaten wildlife and damage farmland and forestry.
These large gatherings of people - who can often be under the influence of drink and drugs - bring a risk of fires and of litter being left behind. They often happen over a Friday or Saturday night and when attendees are leaving the following day they are still under the influence and pose a danger to other road users.
Dyfed-Powys Police have a well-rehearsed strategy for dealing with illegal raves and unlicensed music events, however would request the public to report any suspicious activity.
